A
member of the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria loss his life in
today's bomb last at the Jimeta Police Station in Yola Adamawa State.
Mr. Austin who is a police officer working under the Anti-Bomb squad
came to the LCCN Convention ground on the opening day with his team to
inspect the place to ensure there are no hidden explosives. As he was
returning yesterday 24th February, 2016, he told the Archbishop of
intention to return to the convention not on official duty but to attend
the programme. The Archbishop announced that Austin has taken
permission to leave the office to go to Demsa LCCN Convention ground
when his boss called him to assist in the evacuation of some explosives
recovered from the Boko Haram.
The Officers went in to do their duty but as Austin approached the door
loud explosion hit him killing his boss who was already inside and
severely injuring Austin. He was rushed to the Hospital but could not
survive it.
The Archbishop prayed for the families of the deceased for God to grant them the grace to bear the irreparable loss.
