Archbishop Nemuel Babba called for continuous unity in the church

The Archbishop of the LCCN Most Rev Dr Nemuel Babba called on all member churches of the TEKAN (Communion of Churches of Christ in Nigeria) to continue to unite and support one another in times like this. He said this yesterday 6th January, 2016 during a welcome address he delivered at the opening of the annual convention the Communion in Numan the Headquarters of the LCCN. Most Reverend Babba said  Christians in Northern Nigeria have been faced with many challenges and this only have come to prove the saying of Jesus Christ about the persecution of the church. He took a reading from the Bible where Jesus prayed to the father to keep the church one. Emphasizing he said, “that we may be one as Christ have prayed is the reason for this communion and we are expected to continue to reflect on this as we fellowship together. We have seen attacks in the North East and other places like Benue and plateau states but we have been made stronger in faith because persecutions only makes the church stronger.” He welcomed the member churches of the TEKAN to Adamawa and to LCCN and prayed that the convention shall be a fruitful one as always.
Tarrayar Ekkilisiyan Krista a Najjeriya (TEKAN) is a body of the Churches of Christ in Nigeria (mostly Northern Nigeria) the Communion has about 15 member churches and it has its Headquarters in Jos plateau state.
