Fireworks jubilation in Bauchi Road Jos

Fireworks activities have commenced in the popular Bauchi Road in Jos City of the plateau state in celebration of the handing over of power to the All Progressive Congreve led government of General Muhamdu Buhari.
Loud sounds are being heard in the area starting from 4pm today 28th May, 2015. The sounds of fireworks have continued to increase all over the area as the day grows older.
The area which is dominated by Hausa Fulani in the city is known to be occupied by the Jasawa (longtime Hausa dwellers of Jos) people and it has been the boiling point of past ethno-religious conflicts in the city.
Tomorrow Buhari will be handed over the mantle of leadership in Nigeria. His party APC is ending a 16 year rule of the People Democratic Party (PDP). PDP have been ruling Nigeria since the country returned to civil rule in 1999.
